Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay away from on January 26 in NBA DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s NBA DFS lineup helper.

Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:

6 p.m. ET: Washington at Atlanta, Phoenix at Memphis, Boston at New Orleans, Brooklyn at New York, LA Clippers at Orlando
9 p.m. ET: Indiana at Portland

How this works:

Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.

Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.

Studs

Trae Young (vs WAS – $9,500 on DK; $9,600 on FD): Trae is always a triple double threat and given the defense he’ll be up against on Sunday, a triple double certainly seems like a big possibility in this matchup. He has a better matchup than Kawhi and Lillard and is at a better salary. His ceiling is just as high as well.

Domantas Sabonis (at POR – $8,700 on DK; $8,400 on FD): Sabonis is always a double double threat and he can put up big numbers in the scoring and rebounding department. The Blazers are an awful team despite the overall talent on the team. The Pacers offense should have no issue getting it done against the weak Blazers defense.

Bradley Beal (at ATL – $8,200 on DK; $8,300 on FD): Speaking of bad defense. Beal looks like he’s back on his game and a little awkwardness when he returned. And that’s bad news for the terrible Hawks defense. They bleed points without Trae and even with Trae, they don’t offer anything defensively. The offense will be up in this game.

Devin Booker (at MEM – $8,100 on DK; $8,800 on FD): Booker has continued his hot stretch outside of a rough night against the Pacers. The Grizzlies are not the Pacers. They’ve regressed in recent games and their defense hasn’t exactly been their calling card as it’s mainly been their offensive pace. Booker should have no problem getting buckets in this game.

Gordon Hayward (at NO – $7,300 on DK; $6,000 on FD): The Pelicans play with more energy with Zion and he obviously makes them better but he’s still limited in his minutes and there is that tough transition with getting him back in the lineup. Hayward has been good more often than not in recent games and he’s on the lesser end when it comes to Boston salaries. He’s affordable with a high ceiling.
