Raptors, Spurs honor Kobe Bryant in touching way

Toronto Raptors and the San Antonio Spurs honor Kobe Bryant in touching way during Sunday’s game, just hours after news broke of his passing.
The news of the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant and his daughter hit the presses just hours before the Toronto Raptors and the San Antonio Spurs were set to collide on Sunday. With so little time, and still no official game cancellation from the NBA the game went on as scheduled … almost.
Before the game got underway, both teams took a 24-second shot clock violation in honor of Bryant, who played as number 24 for the Los Angeles Lakers for 20 years.
The two teams let the 24-second shot clock expire to honor the man who is considered one of the GOATS of the sport. The fans in attendance clapped and chanted “Kobe” before the game resumed as scheduled.
At about the same time another game was underway with a tribute of their own.

The Houston Rockets and the Denver Nuggets held a moment of silence before their game on Sunday.
There are an additional six more games scheduled today and social media has been vocal about asking the NBA to cancel those games. So far there is no official statement from the NBA.
Bryant was killed on Sunday, alongside his young daughter after the helicopter they were using to attend a basketball game crashed in Calabasis.
