Whenever anyone dies, it’s tragic. But deaths of celebrities, especially someone as iconic as Kobe Bryant, hit us in a different way. The first waves of emotion could be felt within seconds of TMZ reporting that the Los Angeles Lakers star had been killed in a helicopter crash were of disbelief. Many fans clung to the hope that the report was false, or the facts were somehow not true. But as time passed tributes began to pile up and the truth set in.
