40. 1991 Buffalo Bills

The Bills have changed uniforms many times, but these were keepers. The red helmet never looked better than with the simple blue uniforms and white pants. The red socks are a nice touch, all while the outsized buffalo on the headgear charged to four straight Super Bowls.

39. 1986 New York Jets

These let you know the ’80s are in full swing. The stripes are big, the stripes are everywhere. Plus, don’t undersell that logo on the helmet. While it was sandwiched by the football-inspired emblem of the ’60s and ’90s, the “JETS” should never be forgotten.

38. 1994 Dallas Cowboys

Man, 1994 gives us a ton of great stuff. The NFL was celebrating its 75th anniversary, and so each team wore throwbacks. The best part? Some of the uniforms had never actually been worn before! Take the Cowboys, who had never worn this uniform until ’94, and have never worn it since.

UNSPECIFIED – CIRCA 1969: Head Coach Paul Brown of the Cincinnati Bengals talks with his quarterback Greg Cook #12 on the sidelines during an AFL Football game circa 1969. Brown coached the Bengals from 1968-75. (Photo by Focus on Sport/Getty Images)

37. 1969 Cincinnati Bengals

You want simple and classy? We’ve got simple and classy. When Paul Brown became head coach and owner of the fledgling Bengals of the American Football League, he wanted to have very similar uniforms to the team that fired him (and bared his name). This is why the Bengals have almost an identical color scheme to the Browns, and the helmet is strikingly simplistic.

36. 1974 St. Louis Cardinals

The Cardinals have had some strong uniforms and some not so strong uniforms, but this was their best. During the Jim Hart era in St. Louis, the Cardinals were simple and yet strong, showcasing a good splash of red and an angry bird on the dome.

OAKLAND, CA – CIRCA 1970’s: Quarterback Jim Zorn #10 of the Seattle Seahawks in action against the Oakland Raiders circa late 1970’s during an NFL football game at the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, California. Zorn played for the Seahawks from 1976-84. (Photo by Focus on Sport/Getty Images)

35. 1976 Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks don’t have incredibly memorable uniforms, but the original silver with green ad blue trim was a good decision. The striping was nice, the helmet was crisp and the Kingdome was loud as hell.

34. 2018 Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers make another appearance, and it won’t be their last on our list. The uniform has changed many times, but Los Angeles has gotten it right time and again.

PHILADELPHIA, PA – CIRCA 1963: Sunny Jurgensen #9 of the Philadelphia Eagles rolls out to pass during an NFL football game at Franklin Field circa 1963 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Jurgensen played for the Eagles from 1957-63. (Photo by Focus on Sport/Getty Images)

33. 1963 Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia had this look in the early 1960s, featuring silver wings on each side of the helmet with no border around them. The Eagles never should have moved on from the Kelly green.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – CIRCA 1960’s: John Brodie #12 of San Franicisco 49ers, drops back to pass against the Dallas Cowboys during a mid circa 1960’s NFL football game at Kezar Stadium in San Franicisco, California. Brode played for the 49ers from 1957-73. (Photo by Focus on Sport/Getty Images)

32. 1971 San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers have largely kept the same look, save for those hideous uniforms during the Jeff Garcia era. Here is the late 1960s and early ’70s edition, with the thin stripes on the pants and the big logo on the helmet. Well done.

31. 1968 Oakland Raiders

The Raiders tried out silver numerals on the white uniforms for a few years in the late ’60s and early ’70s before going to black. While their preference for black is hard to criticize, this idea wasn’t a bad one. The silver looks terrific.
