Patrick Mahomes is known to throw for a ton of yards in a football, but will the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback throw for over 300 yards in Super Bowl 54?

Super Bowl 54 will be taking place on Sunday evening at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. Meeting in this year’s title bout are the Kansas City Chiefs of the AFC and the San Francisco 49ers of the NFC. One player who will have everybody’s attention in this game is Chiefs’ starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes and how prolific he’ll be through the air.

The Fantasy Footballers set the benchmark of 300 passing yards for Mahomes. Does he go over 300, does he throw for a tick under or does he hit 300 right on the head?

The guys discuss on their latest episode that went live on Tuesday morning ahead of Super Bowl 54.

Andy Holloway pointed out Mahomes’ last two playoff games have seen him throw for 294 vs. the Houston Texans in the AFC Divisional Round and 321 vs. the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship game. He adds the 49ers’ pass defense only gave up 275 or more passing yards three times this season.

Before siding with the under, Holloway says the 49ers’ pass defense held opposing quarterbacks below 200 passing yards nine times this season. While he believes Mahomes will be key in the Chiefs winning Super Bowl 54, it will be more because of his clutch gene than his ability to put up gaudy numbers in primetime.

Holloway’s colleagues, Mike Wright and Jason Moore, disagree with him, as they believe Mahomes will throw for more than 300 yards in this game. Wright mentioned Mahomes was built for this stage, while Moore added Mahomes has what it takes to do damage against an excellent San Francisco pass defense.

Given that the Chiefs’ offense is heavily predicated on the pass, it wouldn’t be shocking for Mahomes to throw for more than 300 yards en route to winning Super Bowl 54 MVP. Look for Mahomes to move the sticks to give his team the best chance to win it all on Sunday.
