Busy Philipps is partnering with Olay for an exciting Super Bowl campaign, Make Space for Women. FanSided caught up with Philipps in Miami to learn more.

Busy Philipps is taking part in one big campaign for Olay that’s making a difference. You might have seen teasers for Olay’s Make Space For Women Super Bowl ad. And with how impactful the campaign is, it’s no wonder Philipps is absolutely thrilled to be taking part in a campaign with such a big cause.

Ahead of Super Bowl 54, FanSided sat down with Philipps in Miami to discuss why the campaign is so impactful and how Olay’s support for women’s empowerment relates to her life.

In collaboration with Girls Who Code, Olay is proving to everyone out there that yes indeed, there is enough space for women. And that’s especially in the STEM field, where women often see little representation. To help, for every tweet that mentions #MakeSpaceForWomen on Twitter, Olay will donate $1 (up to $500,000) to Girls Who Code.

Philipps summed it up by saying, “What we’re putting into this world is we’re trying to make space for women across all industries. But this year especially, STEM; we’re highlighting that.”

The actresses even mentioned that (unsurprisingly) half the fans of the NFL are women. Philipps herself, who’s from California, is rooting for the 49ers. And, she’ll be catching her commercial (which stars the likes of Lilly Singh, Taraji P. Henson, Katie Couric and astronaut Nicole Stott) by celebrating at a friend’s house. (Of course, there’ll be some snacks and margaritas on hand!)

As a parent, Philipps says she’s been conscious of making sure she’s raising her children to teach them what equality means. “Truly, the thing that works with everyone, but especially kids, is that they have to see it… so [at home] we try to really live our lives by making sure that what they see modeled for them is what we want their lives to look like.”

She also revealed that part of being a parent is being flexible with your kids and the changes that come with new generations, saying: “Navigating all that is part of your job as a parent. You have to be open-minded and forward-looking and thinking.”

You’ll want to round up a few friends, snacks and margaritas for yourself on game day, Feb. 2. Olay’s ad will air during Super Bowl 54, and don’t forget to tweet #MakeSpaceForWomen to do your part in making a difference
