Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay away from on January 30 in NBA DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s NBA DFS lineup helper.

Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:

7 p.m. ET: Toronto at Cleveland, Charlotte at Washington
7:30 p.m. ET: Philadelphia at Atlanta
8 p.m. ET: Golden State at Boston
10:30 p.m. ET: Utah at Denver, Sacramento at LA Clippers

How this works:

Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.

Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.

Studs

Kawhi Leonard (vs SAC – $10,800 on DK; $10,500 on FD): It’s not the Lakers but it’s the first game at Staples since Kobe’s passing. The energy is going to be crazy for the Clippers and the Kings are on a back to back. Things are aligning for a big game from Kawhi and potentially a very memorable moment with the circumstances.

Joel Embiid (at ATL – $9,300 on DK; $9,000 on FD): Embiid returned to a strong effort and now he has a great matchup against a weak Hawks team. This should be an easy double double game for Embiid with a high scoring output.

Pascal Siakam (at CLE – $8,400 on DK; $8,600 on FD): Siakam is on form and consistent. And now he has a great matchup against the Cavaliers. Siakam certainly won’t hurt you in this matchup and he has a high ceiling. There’s plenty to like on the Raptors given the matchup. Grab one of them. Siakam is simply my choice.

Devonte’ Graham (at WAS – $7,700 on DK; $6,600 on FD): Graham is an inconsistent option as a high salary guy. But if you can’t trust him against her Wizards, who can you trust him against? He’s a double double threat and the offense should be there against the Hornets.

Gordon Hayward (vs GS – $7,500 on DK; $6,400 on FD): Hayward has been a consistent option for the majority of the season and now he has a great matchup against the Warriors. If Tatum remains out then he’ll continue to be in a better position to succeed. Proceed with caution if Tatum plays. Otherwise take him with confidence.
