5. Chiefs’ Wide Receiver Tyreek Hill

Outside of Patrick Mahomes, there may not be a more dynamic player on the Chiefs’ offense than wide receiver Tyreek Hill. The Chiefs love to take advantage of Hill’s electrifying speed to create mismatches against defensive backs, leading to home run plays.

Hill missed some time in the regular season with a hamstring issue, but he still managed to catch 58 passes for 860 yards and seven touchdowns. The longest reception of the season for Hill was 57 yards, but he has put up 79 yard receptions in both 2017 and 2018.

Those kind of big plays add to Hill’s MVP potential, but the thing that separates him for Kelce is the fact that the Chiefs use him multiple ways. Hill has the ability to carry the ball as well, and that speed can lead to some huge stats on the ground with the right play call.

The Chiefs also use Hill on special teams, so he could further cement his MVP cause by taking a punt to the house in the Super Bowl. Hill is such an electrifying presence that his MVP credentials cannot be understated.

The passing game numbers will skew toward Mahomes, so Hill would need to contribute in other ways to get in the MVP mix. That is certainly possible and makes him the most likely Chiefs’ skill position player to win the MVP.
