Devin and Jason McCourty explain what Tom Brady’s Instagram post means

The internet was ablaze with speculation after Tom Brady posted a cryptic photo on Instagram, but the McCourty twins are here to explain things.
Devin and Jason McCourty have been the NFL’s Wonder Twins throughout their career, specifically when they linked up in New England to help the Patriots win a Super Bowl. But while they’ve perplexed offenses for years, they’re using their powers for good to try and put everyone’s mind at ease over Tom Brady’s cryptic Instagram photo.
Late Thursday night, Brady posted a photo of him walking out of a football tunnel in street clothes, something everyone on the internet assumed was a hint towards Brady announcing his retirement or that he was leaving the Patriots in free agency.
It didn’t take long for the McCourty twins to figure out that, in true internet fashion, everyone was overreacting.
“It’s just a good old fashioned black and white photo,” Devin explained to FanSided’s Mark Carman. “I think it’s just a run on ‘I’m classic and still out here’.”
Where one brother’s thought began, the other one finished it.
“He’s old, he wanted to show people remember the old times,” Jason jumped in to further explain.
Further helping this theory is the fact that Devin apparently called Brady after he saw the post to see what was up. Whatever Brady told him was close enough to what McCourty was already thinking, which put his mind at ease.
Brady has outlasted contemporaries like Eli and Peyton Manning, and is close to outpacing Philip Rivers and Ben Roethlisberger. Whether or not he’s the last man of his generation of quarterbacks standing is yet to be seen, but the McCourty twins are confident that there’s still enough story left to be told — and it’ll be told in New England.
