DraftKings NBA picks February 2: On the Ball with Ingram

For some of you this is Super Bowl Sunday. For me it’s just another NBA Sunday with a smaller than usual DraftKings NBA slate. You can indulge in the sham that is the NFL if you like. I’ll be watching basketball!

Those Detroit people thumbed their noses at the NBA establishment and are starting just after noon Eastern. DraftKings decided to chop them off the slate, so a four game slate DraftKings NBA slate is down to three.

For the early game, there are so many injuries that you can use whomever you want, even at captain. I’m just going to concentrate on the main slate that starts in enough time to be over before the Super Bowl. I’m secretly hoping for a ten overtime game just so I have something to watch in the evening.

A small slate means a small injury report, right? In theory, yes.

Out: Clint Capela (heel), Lauri Markkanen (pelvis), Wendell Carter (ankle), Norman Powell (finger), Marc Gasol (hamstring),Kris Dunn (knee), Otto Porter (foot), Dario Saric (ankle), Cam Johnson (quad), Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (ankle), Dewan Hernandez (ankle), George Hill (hamstring), Aron Baynes (hip), Frank Kaminsky (knee), Nene (hip), Gerald Green (foot), Darius Miller (Achilles), Kenrich Williams (back).

Questionable: Giannis Antetokounmpo (hamstring), Ricky Rubio (ankle), Daniel Gafford (thumb).

There are only a few questionables, but all of them could impact today’s slate. The Bulls are so thin up front that even Gafford in limited capacity could be worth a look.

My hatred for Rick Carlisle right now is unparalleled. He trolled the DFS community last night by running Barea out there and he had a huge night. He went from huge night to DNP-CD for no reason than to piss us off. Shockingly enough, I survived a zero from Barea in one lineup thanks to injuries knocking Trae and Kyrie out early. I had 100% Lillard and Barea, so it was the best and worst of the DFS world last night.

alexcampbell51 got the takedown by just a quarter of a point last night. He built with Beal, Whiteside, and Lillard and got big value out of Conley, Jordan, DFS, Draymond, and even survived Damyean Dotson.

Just because you don’t see someone on here doesn’t mean they aren’t a good play. I only have so much room, and I’m not going anyone a favor if I recommend more than half of the players at a position. If you have a feeling about someone, by all means, follow that. I mostly follow numbers and trends.
