4. New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints are in a similar position as the Patriots, except they have great offensive weapons instead of defensive weapons. Michael Thomas and Alvin Kimara are two of the very best at their position. Drew Brees may be a free agent, but at least the Saints have Tayson Hill, who’s an interesting piece to have. Either way, whoever ends up playing QB for the Saints next season, they have a plethora of weapons at their disposal.

Then, there’s Sean Payton. His major issue is winning the big one. For years now, whenever the Saints face an either or situation, they lose. They watched as the Minnesota Vikings beat them in overtime without getting the ball once. This, after a miracle play and a missed pass interference call kept them out of Super Bowls in years past.

These have to work out one of these days, right?

The Saints ended last season with the sixth best odds to win this year’s Super Bowl. Despite them probably over producing based on their expectations, they still disappointed in the playoffs. However, they are always a good bet because they are at least always a contender. Just look at two of the teams ahead of the Saints last season, the Colts and Chargers. Both those teams look like they are at a minimum three years away. The Saints are always in it, and that gives us value when looking this far ahead.
