While Richard Sherman enjoyed an All-Pro season for the 49ers, he is entering the final year of his contract and will be a 32-year-old free agent in 2021.

Across from him on the right side of the field, the 49ers do not have a definitive answer at right cornerback. Both Ahkello Witherspoon and Emmanuel Moseley each saw significant playing time, the latter enjoying the superior overall season.

So if one of the top cover corners in the draft were to fall to pick 31, the 49ers would be wise to strongly consider adding him.

Henderson has become something of an afterthought in the cornerback class, with Jeffrey Okudah and Kristian Fulton considered the top two in the class. Yet he has the size, length and athletic ability to be a premier player at the position.

An apparent lack of effort in run support has seen him draw comparisons to Greedy Williams. However, Henderson would have the ideal mentor in Sherman and Henderson could prove a long-term solution in the secondary for San Francisco.
