DraftKings NBA picks February 6: Win big with Giannis
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings NBA Shooting Guards:
Best Bets:
James Harden ($12,400): Wow, this is a tough price to pay, but if Westbrook is out again and Covington isn’t available, Harden might just be worth it. This is a tough matchup, but Harden did manage 52 DraftKings points in the first game against the Lakers. We’ve seen his usage without Russ in the lineup. Harden is tough to fade if Westbrook is out. If Westbrook is in, I’ll take my chances with him instead if paying top dollar for a guard.
Zach LaVine ($8,400): This is the first time that I’ve even considered LaVine in weeks. His price was way too high following his hot streak and took forever to come back down to a manageable level. Even this is a touch steep considering LaVine has only hit 42 DraftKings points twice in the last ten games. Those were the two games of 68 and 72 DraftKings points that made his price untenable in the first place. LaVine had a solid 51.25 in the first game against the Pelicans and it’s a small slate. That’s the only reason he’s even on my radar.
Honorable Mention:
C.J. McCollum ($6,700): McCollum has torched the Spurs so far this year. He has 93.25 DraftKings points against them in the two games. That’s almost Dame’s output against the Spurs this year! I really like CJ for the price here. He has been somewhat inconsistent this year though, so he’s not a sure thing. Even the floor seems a little lower this year.
Josh Hart ($4,900): Hart put up 28.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Bulls earlier this year. The Pelicans are a different team right now, but Hart is still getting good run and putting up strong numbers. He has at least 28 DraftKings points in three straight games. It will be four against the Bulls.
Dark Horses:
Donte DiVincenzo ($4,400): DiVincenzo has only been under 20 DraftKings points once since the calendar flipped to 2020. He’s a solid value pick with a great floor. His ceiling is somewhat low, but he has shown the ability to hit 7x value on occasion. The best part is that DiVincenzo is priced for the low end of his output. He’s a strong value every night that the Bucks play.
Pat Connaughton ($3,400): Connaughton is much like DiVincezo. He has a defined role and puts up solid numbers in that role. He plays a few less minutes than Donte and isn’t the shooter that DiVincenzo is, but Connaughton racks up a lot of rebounds in his limited court time. He’s a solid punt on a slate where we need value.
