DraftKings NBA centers:

Best Bets:

Anthony Davis ($9,700): Davis didn’t play in the first game against Houston. The Rockets gave Davis a gift here since Capela is no longer around. Who’s going to guard him? 6-5 P.J. Tucker? Come on! This is still the NBA, right? Chandler and Hartenstein don’t have much of a chance either. Even if Covington plays, he’s not going to be much of a match for Davis. This looks like a game that Davis can dominate.

Joel Embiid ($9,100): Embiid put up 55.75 DraftKings points in just 28 minutes agaoinst the Bucks on Christmas. My interest in any of the Sixers tonight is passing at best. While I dont think they move either Simmons or Embiid, I want to wait until something is figured out before I take the plunge. On paper, Embiid against BroLo is a huge mismatch. I think Embiid still hits value, but I’m not sure either he or Simmons have the big game they did in the first meeting.

Honorable Mention:

Nikola Vucevic ($8,200): Vucevic put up 49.25 DraftKings points in the first meeting against the Knicks. That’s great if you can get it for this price. My issue is that Vucevic hasn’t hit that mark in well over two weeks. He might hit value for this price, but I would only use Vucevic in cash games. His production has gone down since Gordon has picked up his output.

LaMarcus Aldridge ($6,500): As expected, LMA has taken frustrations out on Portland. He has 94.5 DraftKings points in two games against his former team. His numbers have been up and down all season, and that is rearing it’s head again. Aldridge is a massive risk, but you can’t argue with his production agianst Portland.

Dark Horses:

Derrick Favors ($5,000): Favors was mostly a bystander against the Bucks. Since Zion burst on the scene, much of his playing time has come at the expense of Favors. Favors hasn’t played more than 28 minutes since Zion’s debut and he usually has trouble hitting 25 lately. Still, Favors is usually right around a fantasy point per minute. he should bounce back nicely against the Bulls.

Dwight Howard ($4,800): Howard put up 30.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting against Houston. The Rockets have no true center besides Tyson Chandler, and he’s basically a bench ornament. They are either going to run Tucker, who at 6-5 is about the size of the average WNBA center, or newly acquired Robert Covington, who curiously is not on the DraftKings slate. At any rate, I really like Howard here, whoever tries to guard him.
