8. Marcus Mariota

The No. 2 pick of the 2015 draft, Marcus Mariota has flashed brilliance at times, but more often than not has failed to live up to the massive potential he displayed at the University of Oregon. Mariota lost his job with the Tennessee Titans this season, getting benched for Ryan Tannehill as the latter led the Titans to the AFC Championship Game.

The odds are high that Mariota will never truly be a star quarterback, but he has demonstrated an ability to win in the NFL, which cannot be understated. A team in transition could look to take a flier on Mariota and see if he produces more with a change of scenery.

7. Teddy Bridgewater

Teddy Bridgewater was a one-time ascending star, but his career was sidetracked by a horrific knee injury in 2016 that nearly ended his career. The knee issue caused Bridgewater to miss essentially two seasons before landing in New Orleans as Drew Brees’ backup.

Brees’ thumb injury gave Bridgewater a chance to start again, and the Saints went undefeated with him in the lineup. Bridgewater was a bit more of a game manager for the Saints, but the further away from the injury he gets the more potential he has to become an upper-level starter for the right organization.
