The Andre Iguodala trade is a worthy gamble for all parties involved
By Keith Parish
The latest episode of Fastbreak Breakfast digs deep on the Andre Iguodala trade.
While podcasting about the entire NBA there are frequently times we at Fastbreak Breakfast are out of our element. We try to not pretend like we knew everything. For example, we readily admit we try not to watch the Houston Rockets play basketball, so buyer beware when trusting our opinions on James Harden.
But when the Memphis Grizzlies and Miami Heat make a basketball trade we are gosh-dang EXPERTS.
So how did the world’s only breakfast-themed NBA podcast hosted by Grizzlies and Heat fans react to the Andre Iguodala for Justise Winslow swap? In a word: LOUDLY
In this emergency podcast our emotions are laid bare, our excitement is palpable, and both sides claim victory, while acknowledging the risks for both franchises.
Among the point of contention:
- If Winslow can play this season, did the Heat even improve?
- If Winslow can’t play this season, did the Grizzlies hurt their chances at holding onto the 8th seed?
- Were there safer options for Memphis to add to their core in summer free agency?
- Are Jae Crowder and Solomon Hill good fits in Miami?
- What will Gorgui Dieng‘s role be?
- Can Chuck (@themightychuck) keep it together when his favorite player is sent to his second favorite team?
Fastbreak Breakfast is a podcast for serious NBA fans that is incredibly not serious. All episodes are available on Apple Podcasts and Soundcloud or any other major podcast service.
