DraftKings NBA picks February 8: Right said Fred (VanVleet)

We have nine games in the Association today, but the Bucks and Magic had the audacity to play an early game, so they are in DraftKings NBA showdown purgatory. The other eight games are in the main DraftKings NBA slate. We lose Giannis and Middleton, but we still have the Lakers, the new-look Timberwolves, and Jokic on the slate. Let’s see who’s not on the slate.

Out: Luka Doncic (ankle), Kyrie Irving (knee), Kyle Lowry (neck), Steph Curry (hand), Klay Thompson (knee), Derrick Rose (hip), Will Barton (knee), Marvin Bagley (foot), Luke Kennard (knee), Michael Porter (ankle), Patrick Beverley (groin), Victor Oladipo (rest), Norman Powell (finger), Marc Gasol (hamstring), Mason Plumlee (foot), Cody Martin (concussion), Dewan Hernandez (ankle), Kevin Durant (Achilles), Darius Miller (Achilles), Kenrich Williams (back), Dwight Powell (Achilles), DeMarcus Cousins (knee), Blake Griffin (knee), Khyri Thomas (foot), Aron Baynes (hip), Tyler Johnson (knee), Frank Kaminsky (knee), Ty Jerome (calf), Bol Bol (foot).

Questionable: D’Angelo Russell (quad), Andrew Wiggins (trade), Brandon Ingram (ankle), Draymond Green (back), Richaun Holmes (shoulder), Marcus Morris (trade), T.J. Warren (concussion), Jerami Grant (ankle), Markieff Morris (illness), Alex Len (hip), Jabari Parker (shoulder), Jacob Evans (trade), Omari Spellman (trade), John Henson (trade), Mo Harkless (trade), Svi Mykhailiuk (hip), Dario Saric (ankle), Malik Beasley (trade), James Johnson (trade), Evan Turner (trade), Jake Layman (toe), Juancho Hernangomez (trade), Jared Vanderbilt (trade), Brandon Knight (trade), Allonzo Trier (illness).

It is expected that Wiggins will play. Russell is battling a sore quad and hasn’t completed his physical yet, so he may not play tonight. Stay tuned. It looks as though Millsap will return, so it doesn’t much matter that Denver is without Porter, Juancho, Plumlee, and possibly Grant.

Siakam got hurt. Embiid got hurt. Porzingis sucked. The Suns blew out Houston, so Harden and Ayton were awful. My night was over quickly with no chance for recovery.

Gsluke took it down wtih 382.25 DraftKings points. He built with Tatum, Wood, Ibaka, Lillard, and Booker and got huge value out of Huerter, Furkan, and Caleb Swanigan.

Just because you don’t see someone on here doesn’t mean they aren’t a good play. I only have so much room, and I’m not going anyone a favor if I recommend more than half of the players at a position. If you have a feeling about someone, by all means, follow that. I mostly follow numbers and trends.
