DraftKings NBA Shooting Guards:

Best Bets:

DeMar DeRozan ($8,100): DeRozan put up 43.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Kings. They still don’t have anyone that can really guard DeRozan and are marginally better equipped with Holmes back to handle Aldridge. I’m expecting a solid game out of DeRozan here, but he’s more of a cash play unless LMA is out.

Fred VanVleet ($6,900): VanVleet destroyed the Nets in the first meeting, going off for 56 DraftKings points. It’s reasonable to expect that with the way Lowry out tonight after suffering whiplash last night. VanVleet went from being a solid cash play to one of the highest owned players of the night.

Honorable Mention:

Terry Rozier ($6,400): Just like Graham, Rozier also went off on the Mavs in the first meeting. Unlike Graham, Rozier has a much easier path to duplicating that feat tonight. I honestly thought Beal would do more last night, so I don’t expect another 50 out of Rozier. 40 is totally possible though.

Buddy Hield ($5,700): The move to the bench has stabilized Hield’s production, but also capped the upside. As far as DFS goes, that’s good for cash and disappointing for GPP formats. Unless something changes, you probably don’t want to use Hield in a GPP unless you have no other options. That shouldn’t be the case tonight.

Tim Hardaway Jr. ($5,600): Hardaway came off the bench last night and nearly hit 40 DraftKings points. I don’t really care how the Mavs use him, just so long as he stays over 30 minutes per game. That seems to be the magic number between a disappointment and a serviceable outing. Expect another solid performance here against Charlotte.

Dark Horses:

Josh Okogie ($4,900): Okogie turned his extra minutes into a strong performance with 31.5 DraftKings points on Wednesday. If Russell makes his team debut I think it will take a huge chunk out of Okogie’s production. I’m fully prepared to move off of him in that case. If Russell is out, Okogie is a strong bet for 6x value at the least.

Seth Curry ($4,800): Curry is the only guard I trust right now. That’s how unpredictable that whole bunch is. One of them may outscore Curry, but Curry’s floor is much higher and he’s cheaper. Curry has at least 25 DraftKings points in the games he has played in with Luka and Powell out. Give me that all day over the inconsistent Brunson, Wright, and THJ.

Jordan Poole ($3,800): I’m only taking a chance on Poole in the unlikely event that Wiggins isn’t ready or if Poole starts. The clearing of Burks and Robinson leaves some time open for Poole, but he needs a healthy amount of minutes to even have a chance at hitting value. That wont happen on nights Wiggins plays.
