Oscars 2020 red carpet: Start time, TV channel, live stream
It’s awards show season and you know what that means, Best Picture and more importantly, best dressed. Here’s how you can watch the Oscars pre-show and red carpet.
The Oscars are certainly a hot topic this year. The race to win Best Picture is closer than ever, and Joker garnered 11 nominations. But not everyone cares about all of that. We care about the red carpet. Quick interviews and hot outfits? Yes, please.
Who needs to watch the actual Academy Awards when all the good stuff happens during the pre-show? This is especially true this year as the Academy Awards doesn’t have a host. If you’re looking for the signature joking tone of a host, you might want to turn to the red carpet instead.
This year’s red carpet starts at 6:30 p.m. EST. The red carpet will be hosted by the king of the red carpet himself, Billy Porter, as well as Tamron Hall, Lily Aldridge, and Elvis Mitchell.
But that’s not all. Starting at 7:30 p.m. EST, Ryan Seacrest will take over the show for its final moments.
The red carpet show is a staple for the Oscars (and any awards show). It gives us a chance to see all the nominees, performers, and presenters before they appear on stage. Maybe we’ll even get to see someone pull a complete outfit change like Ariana Grande at the Grammys.
However, we know for a fact that no one is going to be able to match the style and sass of whatever Billy Porter chooses to wear.
Grab your popcorn and something to drink and settle in for a long night of judging celebrity fashion.
