DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Trae Young ($10,100): Young has been up-and-down on back to back games this year. He erupted on the Magic in the first meeting for 65.25 DraftKings points. However, considering that Young played 48 minutes in his return from an ankle injury in a double overtime win over the Knicks last night, I’m nervous. I don’t think the Hawks will rest him, but they may limit him if/when the game gets out of hand.

Fred VanVleet ($7,600): I’m really only interested in VanVleet if Lowry is out again. His numbers with Lowry in there are still solid, but I want a little more upside on a slate this large. I’m mostly unimpressed with the top tier of point guards tonight. If Lowry plays, use him instead.

Honorable Mention:

Devonte Graham ($7,100): Graham had a strong game against Detroit in the first meeting with 41.75 DraftKings points. We just saw Graham go nuts on Dallas on Saturday. He could keep the hot streak going here against the Pistons with Rose still out.

Jamal Murray ($7,000): Murray has been kind of inconsistent this year, but he is going strong of late. He put up 54.25 DraftKings points on Phoenix on Saturday and 42 on Utah last Wednesday. Denver is getting healthier, but Jokic is still the only other major scorer on this team with Barton out. I expect Murray to put up a lot of points here.

Reggie Jackson ($6,600): Jackson has put up 20 or more actual points in each of the last three games. The Pistons have desperately needed Jackson’s scoring with Rose out. This Detroit team is decimated right now either by trades or injuries. The only thing to fear here is a blowout. Otherwise Jackson could have another strong game.

Dark Horses:

Mike Conley ($5,500): Conley has 144 DraftKings points in the four games since moving into the starting lineup. I’m not sure the Jazz are better off as a team, but this rotation isn’t stopping anytime soon. Neither is Conley’s production. Dallas has been shredded at the point with Luka out. That’s going to continue tonight.

Michael Carter-Williams ($4,600): MCW is picking up the minutes vacated by Augustin. He is just doing more with them. MCW routinely picks up 5-6x value. There’s not a ton of upside here, but MCW is a good value play.

Victor Oladipo ($4,200): This is super cheap with a guy of Oladipo’s ability. I know he’s still on a minutes limit, which caps the upside. However, Oladipo in 28 minutes at this price is a huge bargain no matter how you look at it. I don’t care what the matchup is.
