DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Damian Lillard ($10,300): Lillard struggled in the first meeting with the Pelicans, but that may as well have been in a different season. Lillard has been tearing up the league with regularity for about a month now. His 70-bombs seem to be about over, but he’s still clearing 50 DraftKings points on a nightly basis. Ball isn’t going to stop that.

Russell Westbrook ($9,900): Harden had a triple-double on Sunday, but Russ still had as many DraftKings points. Harden’s shooting woes continue. He’ll do enough to keep the floor up, but on a night where we need certain value from our expensive players, Russ is the better bet. Harden’s shooting woes mean the upside just isn’t there. It isn’t really with Russ either, but he’ll get you the same thing for almost $2,000 less.

Honorable Mention:

Kemba Walker ($7,700): This is a great matchup for Walker, but there are so many good options with good matchups for the Celtics that I don’t know if he can be counted on to hit value. You’ll have to fade a top-tier guy to get Kemba since this price is steep for the mid-range. I’m just not sure if it’s worth it. This matchup is one of the better of the night though.

Lonzo Ball ($7,300): Ball isn’t much of a scorer anyway, so it doesn’t much matter who is out for the Pelicans. His assists and defensive numbers are still strong, so Ball’s floor remains high. This is a good matchup, and his peripherals are better than Kemba. Go with Kemba in GPP. Ball is for use in cash or if you just don’t want to take as much of a risk in your lineups.

Chris Paul ($6,800): Paul has over 5x value in seven of the last ten, and the floor is still about 30 DraftKings points. He remains a solid option, though both of his guard teammates have higher upside. Paul has 68.5 DraftKings points in 63 minutes against the Spurs this year. Another solid outing is forthcoming, but I’m not sure how much upside he really has.

Dark Horses:

Coby White ($4,200): White has been very inconsistent, but the Bulls are still going to run him good minutes so long as Dunn is out. White still gets enough shots. He just doesn’t always make them. His peripheral stats are just as volatile as his scoring, so the floor can torpedo your entire lineup, but his upside is 8x value.

Shabazz Napier ($4,200): Ish and Shabazz are splitting minutes just like Thomas and Ish did. The difference here is that Napier is a better defender and just as good on the offensive end. Both of them destroy each other’s value, but Napier is more of a sure thing in the same amount of minutes. It’s a five game slate. We can’t be that picky.
