3. Eric Ebron (Indianapolis Colts)

Four years into his NFL career and then-Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron was regarded as one of the bigger busts of the last few years. The 10th-overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the former University of North Carolina standout played in 56 games and caught 186 passes for 2,070 yards and only 11 touchdowns. He was kicked to the curb by the Lions after attempts to deal him and he would latch on with the Indianapolis Colts.

Talk about the revival of a career. Apparently new head coach Frank Reich and quarterback Andrew Luck knew exactly what to do with the talented but disappointing performer. Ebron played in 16 games and made eight starts for the playoff-bound Colts. He finished second on the team in receptions and set career-highs for catches (66), receiving yards (750) and touchdown grabs (13). He also ran for one touchdown and would up leading Reich’s club with 14 total touchdowns.

But was Ebron a one-hit wonder for Indianapolis? To be fair, there would be no Luck and Jacoby Brissett was the new man behind center. There would be 11 outings and only 31 catches for 375 yards and three scores. He was plagued by ankle issues and finished the season on injured reserve. And shortly after the conclusion of the season, the team announced that he was not in their future plans. So can Ebron recapture his 2018 form for another club?
