11. player. 30. . Offensive Tackle. New York Jets. Mekhi Becton

The New York Jets were one of the hottest teams in football down the stretch during the 2019 season, reeling off six wins their last eight games. In quarterback Sam Darnold, they have the franchise guy they can build around, and the franchise needs to do just that as he enters Year No. 3 at the NFL level.

New general manager Joe Douglas knows how important it is to build teams up front, and he does so here with the No. 11 overall pick. Louisville’s Mekhi Becton is an incredible powerful, and gifted left tackle, and for the Jets, he fills an immediate need in Year No. 1, as they have struggled up front for years now.

Protecting Darnold has to be priority No. 1 for this franchise moving forward, and you know a guy like Douglas is going to exhaust his assets this offseason to get better up front. Darnold has shown he can win at the NFL level, and while there are needs on both sides of the ball, this one is the most pressing.

. Wide Receiver. Las Vegas Raiders. Jerry Jeudy. 12. player. 28

The Las Vegas Raiders will hold two first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, a festivity that they will play host to this April. Las Vegas will be the home for all the draft fireworks in a few months, and you can believe that Raider Nation will be in full force, as they enter the latest era of football.

Looking at the Raiders roster, they have a bunch of holes to fill, but really only one on the offensive side of the ball. Last year, the Raiders had no legitimate WR1 on the roster, as Tyrell Williams had to fill that role, so they take care of that issue with their first of two first round picks at No. 12 overall.

With this pick, the Raiders would have their choice of players to grab in terms of the wide receiver spot, but they get the best route-runner in this draft class in Jerry Jeudy here. This is a guy who can come in and be the team’s WR1 right away, moving Williams to WR2 where he belongs along with second-year wideout Hunter Renfrow in the slot for Derek Carr.
