1. Joe Thuney, OG New England Patriots

Joe Thuney sits at the top of this ranking thanks to his combination of durability and effectiveness. He hasn’t missed so far in his NFL career. Thuney has also shown some versatility lining up at multiple spots along the offensive line.

The New England Patriots would likely love to retain his services, but it’s going to be difficult with so many teams looking to make offensive line upgrades.

As mentioned above, the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets are desperate for offensive line help. These two franchises have more than enough cap space to pry Thuney away from their division rival. The Dolphins might have a bit of an inside track with the presence of so many former Patriots coaches on staff.

A sleeper candidate might be the Seattle Seahawks who enter this offseason with solid cap room. They have a need at the guard spot and would greatly benefit from adding someone with Thuney’s track record.

Either way, look for Thuney to be one of the more sought-after free agents this offseason. He might not be a flashy name but it’s these type of signings that could have a huge impact.
