1. Emmanuel Sanders, WR

The most apparent, glaring issue for the Eagles in 2019 was the lack of production from wide receivers. In most of the position’s defense, a lot of the players were dealt a steady blow of injuries.

However, even when healthy Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor and JJ Arcega-Whiteside were not good enough. DeSean Jackson only played three games and Jordan Matthews was marginally effective in his two games.

Emmanuel Sanders is the guy the Eagles can afford and a player that would make them much better in 2020.

Sanders was traded to the San Francisco 49ers during this past season. He was a key player on a team that made a Super Bowl appearance, finishing the season with a stat line of 66 receptions for 869 yards and five scores.

Putting Sanders’ season into perspective, Jeffery’s 490 yards was the highest total for any Eagles’ receiver in 2019. Zach Ertz led the team in receiving yards, Dallas Goedert was behind him, and Miles Sanders finished third.

Sanders is a solid route-runner who can make plays underneath and go get the deep ball as well. At age 32, he probably won’t warrant a long-term deal, which would make him easier to fit under the team’s current cap.
