4. RB DeAndre Washington (Las Vegas Raiders)

Running back Adrian Peterson just wrapped up his second season with the Washington Redskins. Thought to be a bit washed up after his recent stints with the Saints and Cardinals, he’s enjoyed a second life in Landover. In two seasons and a total of 31 games with his newest employer, the former workhorse of the Minnesota Vikings has rolled up 1,940 yards on the ground and a dozen rushing touchdowns.

After missing his rookie season, promising Derrius Guice played in only five games this past season. He totaled 42 carries for 245 yards and two touchdowns in his limited appearances. Elsewhere, Bryce Love was a fourth-round draft choice in 2019 but never saw the field. Versatile Chris Thompson – who finished second on the club with 42 catches – and one-time Philadelphia Eagles’ runner Wendell Smallwood saw some action as well but both can become unrestricted free agents.

After four seasons with the Raiders, running back DeAndre Washington is going to get the opportunity to test the open market. Of course, he could return to the franchise as well and comes off a season in which he amassed a career-best 679 yards from scrimmage and scored three touchdowns. He also played in 16 games for the first time and totaled a personal-best 108 rushing attempts. Washington could be a more reliable option than either Guice or Love, at least at this stage of the game.
