4. Taysom Hill, Quarterback, New Orleans Saints

Taysom Hill sees himself as a quarterback and wants an opportunity to prove himself at that position. The problem is that many around the NFL don’t see him in the same light. Even the New Orleans Saints don’t seem to agree.

New Orleans handed the quarterback job to Teddy Bridgewater when Drew Brees went down with an injury last season.

Hill’s age is also something he ha working against him. He’ll enter next season at age 30 which really limits the time he will have to develop. Basically, Hill needs to win a starting quarterback job now or time might run out.

Chicago represents a solid landing spot for Hill. They are looking to add some competition for Mitch Trubisky. However, the organization is still holding out hope that Trubisky is their franchise quarterback. Hill would represent someone unlikely to unseat Trubisky while also bringing value elsewhere on the field.

The Bears can offer Hill the chance to compete for a starting job then utilize him as the Saints did if he fails to unseat Trubisky. Matt Nagy has proven himself to be a creative play caller who can easily find a way to use someone with Hill’s talents.
