player. 28. . Wide Receiver. Las Vegas Raiders. Laviska Shenault Jr.. 19

The Las Vegas Raiders second selection in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft will come at pick No. 19, as they continue to reap the benefits of trading away Khalil Mack. One can argue the Raiders absolutely won that trade, and with the 19th pick, they add much needed help to the wide receiver group.

Laviska Shenault Jr. is actually a perfect fit for Jon Gruden’s offense, as he is great in space, is a tremendous route-runner, and has the ability to break one at any time. The Raiders could go into next season with a trio of Shenault, Tyrell Williams, and Hunter Renfrow atop their depth chart, which would be a big upgrade over the position group last season.

Derek Carr is the Wildcard in all of this, as there remains to be actually proof that he will be the team’s starting quarterback next season. Las Vegas has been rumored to be in play for a number of different quarterbacks this offseason, but if the team does not get better at wide receiver, it won’t matter who is under center.

K'Lavon Chaisson. 20. player. 52. . Edge. Jacksonville Jaguars

During the 2019 NFL season, the Jacksonville Jaguars made the decision to part ways with their best player, sending cornerback Jalen Ramsey to  the Los Angeles Rams for their 2020 first round pick. The Rams figured the pick would be much later in round one, as they though Ramsey would be their final piece of the puzzle to another Super Bowl run, but they finished outside of the playoffs.

With this pick, the Jaguars have to bring in someone to help them out along the defensive line, and they do so with K’Lavon Chaisson from LSU. Calais Campbell is still a productive player, but he is getting up there in age, and Chaisson is widely regarded as one of the premier edge rushers in this draft class.

Jacksonville was another AFC team  that went into 2019 with high expectations only to falter, so they will be looking to get back on the right track in 2020. Chaisson can help them get better along the defensive line, and after adding Josh Allen this past draft, the team would have young, explosive edge rushers on both sides for years to come.
