DraftKings NBA picks February 20: It’s Harden to go back to work
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings NBA Small Forwards:
Best Bets:
Ben Simmons ($9,500): Simmons has owned the Nets this year. He has averaged 55.9 DraftKings points per game against them in the three meetings. There is a caveat here though. Even though Philly has played Brooklyn three times, Embiid has missed all three of those games. Take Simmons’ production with a grain of salt. He’ll be good, but how good? SIMMONS IS OUT
Andrew Wiggins ($7,600): Wiggins does better when he’s the focal point of the offense it seems. He has 119 DraftKings points in his three games as a Warrior, and that’s including the miserable 26.5 showing against Miami. He did well against both Phoenix and the Lakers. Wiggins could do a whole lot of damage to the challenged Houston defense.
Honorable Mention:
Caris LeVert ($6,700): LeVert should be in the starting lineup with Kyrie still out. He looked good in every start except the Indiana game in the latest stint that Kyrie has been out. LeVert has at least 39 DraftKings points in every game except the Indiana debacle. Philly will likely hold him under that, but 5x value is still likely.
Miles Bridges ($6,000): Bridges tallied at least 34 minutes and 25 DraftKings points in every February game. He’s part of the youth movement in Charlotte and the results have been promising so far. The Bulls lose a lot defensively with Dunn and Denzel off the court. Bridges should have another strong game in store here.
Dark Horses:
Joe Harris ($4,900): Every time I think about playing Harris, he has a horrible game. I will concede that is entirely possible against Philly. Still, this is a rather barren value tier tonight and Harris has at least 23 DraftKings points in six straight games. He has a more defined role with Kyrie out. That has led to much more consistent production.
Duncan Robinson ($4,900): Robinson has been very good with Herro out. He has at least 25 DraftKings points in four straight and five of the last six. This Miami team is loaded and deep, but Robinson is one of the few I trust with Herro out. He will absorb most of Herro’s minutes because Miami needs the shooting threat on the court.
Andre Iguodala ($3,300): Iggy has hit value twice in his three games with the Heat, but he still hasn’t played more than half the game or hit 20 DraftKings points. He’s probably only a value pick for the desperate since his ceiling is low, but with the price this low, he’s at least worth a look. The Heat plan on keeping him as part of the rotation. It’s not like they got him cheap.
