1. Kelechi Iheanacho scores to help Leicester beat Manchester City

The later game on Saturday sees Manchester City travel to Leicester in a match that will have a big impact on who will finish second in the league. City currently sit second, four points ahead of Leicester but the Foxes will fight until the final day of the season for second place.

Pep Guardiola’s side may not be in the Champions League next season after UEFA have given them a two year ban for breaching financial fair play rules. City will appeal this decision but it could mean that, for now, they de-prioritize the league in hope of winning the Champions League this season.

Leicester’s Premier League season continues to be impressive and a second place finish would be an incredible result for Brendan Rodgers in his first full season in charge of the club. Leicester have been consistent all season and they’ve achieved their current position by playing attractive soccer.

A high league finish coupled with the way that they play will help them to attract even better players to the club in summer as well. The good news for Leicester fans is that the sides below them in the table aren’t consistent enough to catch them. Brendan Rodgers won’t let his side rely on this though and he’ll ensure they secure Champions League soccer as soon as possible.

They can take a big step towards that this weekend by beating Manchester City and hoping for a draw in Chelsea’s match with Tottenham. That would create a 12 point lead over anyone below them with only eleven matches remaining after this weekend.

Guardiola is not one to let his team slack off but he’s smart enough to know that his side will finish in the top four and they don’t need to be risking key players by chasing results in the league. That should make this a more entertaining match as City won’t have a desperation to win but they will of course remain competitive.

This should be a great watch, with both sides playing soccer the right way. Both sides should find the back of the net but Kelechi Iheanacho will score the decisive one as the Foxes beat City 2-1 to close in on second place.
