DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

D’Angelo Russell ($8,600): Russell went nuts with KAT out before the break. I know it was against the Hornets, but Russell’s usage is still very high and Kemba is out. There is certainly enough upside to warrant throwing him out there even against a team like Boston. He’s not going for 58 again tonight, but he could come close to 50. That’s better than Luka did in the first meeting against Orlando.

Kyle Lowry ($7,700): Lowry cruised into the break with three 50+ DraftKings point games in his last four before the break. The only team that kept him under was Indy. Phoenix likely wont hold him under that. A strong All-Star performance by Lowry has him looking at a big second half. That should start here.

Chris Paul ($7,200): Fade him if you want, but to me that’s a dangerous thing right now. CP3 put up 43 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Denver and headed into the break with 38 or more DraftKings points in four straight. His strong performance in the All-Star game shows he isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Murray has the better matchup on paper, but CP3 outscored him by more than 10 DraftKings the first time around.

Honorable Mention:

Victor Oladipo ($6,400): DraftKings ramped up the price on Oladipo not based on production, but based on the Pacers saying that he was no longer on a minutes limit. That was the right move. This is a more difficult decision now, especially since the Knicks are good against point guards. Still, we all know how high Oladipo’s ceiling is. This price is fair enough to take at least one shot with him.

Collin Sexton ($6,300): The price is right on Sexton. He has put up some big games of late, but I would still only use him in a good matchup. This is a great one. Sexton has 64.5 DraftKings points in the two games against the Wizards so far. There is a chance at a ceiling game here.

Marcus Smart ($5,900): Smart started in place of Kemba just before the break and he went nuts on a good Clippers defense for 49.5 DraftKings points. Smart is going to be highly owned tonight and he usually tanks in those sort of situations. He’s a good play on paper though, for what that’s worth.

Dark Horses:

Dennis Schroder ($5,600): Schroder racked up 34.75 DraftKings points on Denver the first time around, so he doesn’t care about Denver’s proficiency against point guards either. Schroder has shown the ability to put up big numbers in small minutes. I think I even like him over CP3 when you take price into consideration.

Jordan Clarkson ($5,400): It’s pretty easy to rest Conley when you have a guy like Clarkson putting up huge numbers off the bench. Clarkson had 121.75 DraftKings points in the three games heading into the break. Two of those were without Conley, just like tonight will be. Clarkson is far from a model of consistency, but this looks like a big game for him.

Dejounte Murray ($5,400): I know these aren’t really values, but the lower tier of PG is littered with timeshares and bad options. If you want to play roulette with the Lakers or Ish/Napier, be my guest. I’ll pay a little more for Murray and his hot streak heading into the break. Murray also put up 32.5 DraftKings points on the Jazz earlier this year when Conley was out.
