4. A weapon for Daniel Jones

It’s time for the Giants to double down on their bet that Jones is going to be a star signal caller. That means they have to supply him with enough weapons on offense to show he’s a potential Pro Bowler.

Saquon Barkley takes a lot of pressure off Jones via both the ground and short passing game. The receiving corps available to Jones needs work though. Sterling Shephard, Golden Tate and Darius Slayton were decent last season, but they weren’t enough to really trouble opposing secondaries.

That means this is the offseason where New York officials need to find Jones a star receiver to grow up with. The NFL Draft is going to be the best place to find that player. New York shouldn’t reach four a wide receiver at No. 4, but they shouldn’t wait too long in the draft before plucking a potential star wide receiver.

More specifically, the Giants need to draft a big wide receiver who can help Jones by making tough catches down the field. Barkley handles the short stuff and Tate is a nice option in the slight. Gettleman needs to take a big swing on a potential No. 1 wideout this offseason.
