Twitter reacts to Tyson Fury’s seventh-round upset TKO of Deontay Wilder in their rematch on Saturday.
We have a new heavyweight champion! On Saturday night Tyson Fury defeated the reigning WBC champion, Deontay Wilder, via a seventh-round TKO to become the new champion and remain undefeated. This bout, the second time the two met, was expected to go in favor of the champion, but Fury had other plans.
The fight went in Fury’s favor throughout and it was in the seventh round when Wilder’s corner threw in the towel to stop the fight. He was seen protesting the coaches call directly after the bout, but perhaps tomorrow he’ll see they had his best interest at heart.
Fans from around the globe had tuned in to the rematch and let their voices be heard on Twitter throughout the bout.
Here are a few of the best reactions from Saturday night.

I didn’t like the weight gain. I didn’t like the change in trainers. But Tyson Fury did what he does best and that’s prove everyone wrong. #WilderFury2

The pair may end up in a trilogy situation (their first bout ended in a draw) so only time will tell if this is going to go down again.
