2. Indianapolis Colts

Andrew Luck shocked the world when he decided to retire right before the 2019 season. It left the Indianapolis Colts in flux, and took a team who was a likely playoff contender and made them mostly an afterthought by the end of the season. Frank Reich’s offense wasn’t enough to cover the flaws of Jacoby Brissett. Then, when he got hurt, Brian Hoyer was an awful option.

Winston would give the Colts a breath of fresh air at the quarterback position. They would be getting another No. 1 overall pick under center, after their previous option left for greener pastures. He didn’t even stay in the limelight, which made it even easier for Colts fans to move on. Has the front office moved on from Luck enough to bring in his lock-down replacement in Winston?

They probably have to. This free agency class has more talent than we’ve seen in a long time, and the Colts are in desperate need for talent at the quarterback position. Brissett was fine at times, but overall underwhelming.

With a three-headed talent monster of Marlon Mack, T.Y. Hilton and Eric Ebron, Winston would be able to go to a team with a similar talent level as the Bucs offense. Obviously, the receivers are worse, but the talent at other positions helps them at least bridge the gap somewhat.

The Colts also have a ridiculous $86 million in cap space this offseason. That includes a $21 million hit from Brissett, which we don’t see actually happening. Imagine if this team can add someone like A.J. Green to the offense? Along with Winston, this immediately becomes a team to watch in the AFC.
