3. Indianapolis Colts

The Colts aren’t totally sold on Jacoby Brissett at this point, and they seem set to pursue other options either as competition or an outright replacement this offseason. They have the cap space to do just that, and they also could keep Brissett as a backup option. Or they could try to trade or release him, with little impact on their cap.

T.Y. Hilton is just fine as the No. 1 guy, but the Colts should be looking to add a wide receiver via free agency, trade and/or the draft. A top-tier offensive line, a solid running game led by Marlon Mack and a good defense that can be easily added to in free agency lines Indianapolis up to rise in the AFC South if they can get the quarterback position figured out.

Philip Rivers has been tied to the Colts heading toward free agency, and there’s a scenario where they pursue Tom Brady. Teddy Bridgewater is also a possible top target in free agency.

Carr showed what he could do behind a stout offensive line with the Raiders in 2016, when was a borderline MVP before suffering a broken leg late in that season. Indianapolis could see a way to replicate that in 2020, and Carr should see the Colts as an appealing landing spot.
