DraftKings NBA Shooting Guards:

Best Bets:

CJ McCollum ($9,000): CJ ravaged Detroit for 76.25 DraftKings points, finishing one rebound shy of a triple double. It was one of the best performances of his career. Don’t expect a repeat against Boston, but CJ is averaging a shade over 50 DraftKings points in 29 career games without Dame. He’s still worth the money.

Zach LaVine ($8,900): DK pricing is funny sometimes. LaVine goes for 48 DraftKings point and his price drops. I’ll take it. I understand that this is a tougher matchup, but LaVine put up 49.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Thunder. He still shoots about twice as much as anyone else on the team and most of the other scorers on this team are hurt. The only thing to fear here is a blowout.

Honorable Mention:

Jrue Holiday ($7,900): Holiday has 87.75 DraftKings points in two games against the Lakers so far. This is a poor matchup for most Pelicans, but someone has to do something. Holiday is my pick to do that. The Lakers are going to make damn sure Zion doesn’t show them up. That should mean more chances for Holiday.

Jaylen Brown ($6,600): Brown is the guy we want if Kemba is out. Even if Kemba plays, it will most likely be Smart that takes the biggest hit to his production. Brown is enough of a volume scorer that he can still hit value. If Kemba plays, he’ll likely be a little rusty. This is still a good situation for Brown.

Coby White ($5,600): It’s hard to pay this much for someone as streaky as the rookie has been, but White has at least 39 DraftKings points in three of the last four games. Can he keep this up? Well, two of those three games were against the Wizards, so I’m not getting too excited just yet. The playing time is there though, and White has flashed good upside at times. The bad news is that his floor can make sure you donate.

Dark Horses:

Malik Monk ($4,900): Monk still got a decent number of minutes on Saturday even though the game was a blowout and he went cold. The Hornets have committed to youngsters of late. That’s a trend that should continue. Monk is capable of putting up big numbers, so he’s a solid dart throw at this price.

Aaron Holiday ($4,600): Holiday put up 28.5 DraftKings points with Oladipo out and Lamb leaving early on Sunday. I like this more if Holiday starts or if Oladipo is out. DK is price gouging here in the hopes that Holiday starts. If he does, he’s still a solid play. I don’t think I’ll mess with it for the price if he comes off the bench though. Whoever joins the starting five is a better bet.
