Miami Dolphins. Justin Herbert. 5. player. 59. . Quarterback

One of the bigger questions on draft night in 2020 will be which quarterback is the second off the board, as the overall consensus is that the Cincinnati Bengals will select Joe Burrow with the first overall pick. Sitting at No. 5 overall, the Miami Dolphins could be in line to get whoever they choose, and signs are starting to point towards Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert.

Not only is Herbert arguably the most NFL-ready quarterback in this draft class, but he has the arm talent, and the legs to get it done at the next level. After leading the Ducks to a Rose Bowl victory, Herbert quieted all the noise surrounding his leadership skills at the Senior Bowl, and heads into draft season with high expectations.

Look, Tagovailoa is the most interesting prospect in this draft class, and teams may try to trade all the way up to No. 3 to get him. However, Herbert lands at No. 5 on our mock draft based on the fact the Dolphins seems to be in on him, and for an organization in rebuild mode, he could come in and start right away.

13. . Quarterback. Los Angeles Chargers. Tua Tagovailoa. 6. player

The Los Angeles Chargers hold the No. 6 overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, and like the Miami Dolphins, they could decide to trade up and go get the quarterback of their choice. In this mock draft, they can stay put and still get a franchise signal-caller, adding Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa with the No. 6 pick this April.

While Tua could be long gone by pick six, the Chargers land him here, and he would be the long-term solution at the position they desperately need now that Philip Rivers is gone. Los Angeles has been rumored to be in the market for the services of Tom Brady, and even if they do bring in the six-time Super Bowl champion, Tua still makes sense.

With a tandem of Brady and Tua atop the depth chart at quarterback, the Chargers would be set for the short and long term, giving them two players the fan base can get excited about. Tua is going to be a special player at the next level, and if the Chargers are going to fill their new stadium,  they need star player at the quarterback position.
