DraftKings NBA Point Guards:

Best Bets:

Trae Young ($10,400): I usually don’t go out of my way to play guys against Orlando, but Young has 108.5 DraftKings points in two games against Orlando this year. That’s right at 5x value and he has played better as the year has gone on. The Hawks have been a thorn to a lot of teams lately and Orlando’s defense has struggled since the break. I hate to say “expect 60,” but it’s certainly possible for Trae tonight.

Luka Doncic ($10,300): As good as Trae has been against Orlando, Luka has been even better against the Spurs. He has 129.25 DraftKings points in two games. When it comes down to it, Luka hits 60 more often than Trae does. We likely have to choose between the two tonight. I’m leaning far towards Luka here. The floor is probably a little lower, but the upside is higher.

Honorable Mention:

Jimmy Butler ($8,200): If Butler plays, this may be the spot to lock him in. Things didn’t end well in Minnesota, and I think he still harbors ill will. It wont be as intense as is Wiggins and Towns were on the court, but it’s more the front office that earned his ire anyway. If Butler plays, look out!

Ja Morant ($7,100): I don’t use Morant a lot. Only when the matchup is right. He struggles against good defenses. The Rockets are many things, but they are not that. Morant has 88 DraftKings points in two games against the Rockets. He should be able to match that output against the mini-Rockets. It is worth noting that he hasn’t had to tangle with Westbrook yet. Temper your expectations some.

Kendrick Nunn ($6,100): Nunn is still cheaper than Dragic, so I am locked in on Nunn again. Minnesota is not good defensively anywhere. He put up 37.5 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Minnesota. Nunn’s production could slip a little with Butler back, but his slump is over. Nunn was still putting up good numbers with a healthy Butler on the court. He should be a strong play tonight.

Dark Horses:

Ish Smith ($5,000): Smith is still better for DFS than Napier, but the timeshare is taking its toll on his fantasy value. Ish is going to get you what he did when Thomas was the backup. He doesn’t have high upside being he’s in a timeshare, but more often than not, he gets you what you need. He’s a solid cash game value. Use Napier for GPP considerations coming off his best game as a Wizard.

Shake Milton ($4,500): Well, if Philly’s starting Shake, he’s worth a look. He picked up 22 DraftKings points when Simmons left the game and 25.75 when he started in his place. Don’t expect miracles, but Shake looks to be a solid value play right now. However, he’s not going to haul down five rebounds a game. That makes me a bit nervous.
