DraftKings NBA Power Forwards:

Best Bets:

Anthony Davis ($10,300): I think we need to make room for Davis tonight. His reputation is much like Embiid as being made of glass. It’s always a risk when you stake your night on guys like that, but I didn’t learn from last night. I’m all in on Davis with LeBron out. That’s all the explanation you need, but for the Record, Davis has been good against the Warriors this year anyway.

Domantas Sabonis ($9,100): If you think Melo is going to have trouble with Sabonis, you are absolutely right. Sabonis racked up 66 DraftKings points on the Blazers the first time around. Expecting that big of a number is out of bounds, but there’s no reason to think that Portland can hold him under 50.

Honorable Mention:

Julius Randle ($7,800): I look at this and all I see is no Embiid. Randle has averaged 38.3 DraftKings points in the three meetings with Philly this year. Embiid played in two of those. I expect a strong night from Randle no matter what.

Tobias Harris ($7,500): Harris was a dud last night against the trees in Cleveland, but it might be more than that. They keyed on Harris with Embiid out. The Knicks may do the same. I think many are going to flock to Harris, and I will likely use him once just in case, but I think the Philly supporting cast does better than the one star still on the floor for them.

Dark Horses:

Bobby Portis ($4,100): Yes, I think the Knicks aren’t doing themselves any favors by not using Portis more. However, he has seen at least 23 minutes in three straight games. It should come as no surprise that he has averaged more than a fantasy point per minute in that span. It’s just what he does. Portis should have fun against the undersized Philly front. I expect them to get Robinson in foul trouble early and often. Portis is far from a sure thing, but he could be a good value play.

Kyle Kuzma ($3,900): The Lakers may elect to start Kuzma because they are going to need his scoring ability. They have a half dozen guys that can play the point in a pinch. What they really need is a volume scorer to help Davis. That is Kuzma. He’s more consistent that KCP. Losing that defense will hurt a little, but they are going to need Kuzma in there to score.
