NBA DFS: Studs, scrubs, and duds for February 27
Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay away from on February 27 in NBA DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s NB DFS lineup helper.
Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:
7 p.m. ET: New York at Philadelphia
8 p.m. ET: Portland at Indiana, Sacramento at Oklahoma City
10:30 p.m. ET: LA Lakers at Golden State
How this works:
Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.
Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.
Studs
Joel Embiid (vs NY – $11,000 on DK; $10,200 on FD): Another night to take lone All Star Joel Embiid against a weak matchup. It’s a back to back which is about the only issue but it’s still a great matchup and Embiid has the highest ceiling of anyone given the circumstances. He’s an easy player to build around. This of course assumes that Embiid plays.
Anthony Davis (at GS – $10,300 on DK; $10,800 on FD): Davis is probable so I’m assuming he’s going to play. I like him more than LeBron in this one, though the shoulder is slightly concerning and that might limit his minutes. Check any restrictions before making decisions and maybe you don’t feel as comfortable as me but if things check out normal, he will feast. LeBron is out so that helps his value.
Domantas Sabonis (vs POR – $9,100 on DK; $8,400 on FD): It’s an easy matchup for Sabonis who is typically good for a double double and then some. The Blazers are a weak defensive team with a weak front court. All signs point to a strong outing from Sabonis.
Chris Paul (vs SAC – $7,900 on DK; $7,400 on FD): The OKC guard lineup will be worth your time in this one. Paul will bring the consistency with scoring and assists. SGA will have scoring and rebounds. I like Paul in this one coming off last game. He’ll be aggressive from the jump.
