. RB. Tigers . Camar Wheaton. 10. player. 817

  • High School: Lakeview Centennial (Garland, TX)
  • Composite Rankings: No. 10, No. 1 RB

The number one running back is up for grabs still. Camar Wheaton has yet to make a commitment and has offers ranging from Oklahoma to Alabama and well every major program just like every five-star recruit.

At 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, Wheaton has ideal size and should pack on a little more muscle onto his frame as matures. He can break off a home run play with one step and is incredibly fluid with his movements.

He’s also incredibly instinctual and follows his blocks while displaying great vision. There doesn’t seem to be a consensus on where he could end up yet. In this scenario, we would have to look to the defending champs.

247 shows Wheaton as warm to the notion of playing in Baton Rouge. The LSU Tigers don’t have a commitment at the position. After their run in the College Football Playoff, Wheaton lining up LSU wouldn’t be much of a surprise.

Prediction: LSU

Brock Vandagriff. 9. player. 814. . DUAL QB. Bulldogs

  • High School: Prince Avenue Christian School (Bogart, GA)
  • Composite Rankings: No. 9, No. 1 DUAL QB

The top dual-threat quarterback of the 2021 college football recruiting class is Brock Vandagriff. The quarterback has already announced his commitment to playing for the Georgia Bulldogs in 2021.

The nearly 6-foot-3 quarterback has great size and tremendous mobility to match. His speed makes him a real threat with his legs but he’s also got the poise to hang in the pocket and make throws with his arms when he needs to.

The new mold of quarterbacks that we’ve seen have success at both the college and pro level have the ability to make plays with their legs when they need to but also show no fear in the process when it comes to throwing the ball. Vandagriff should be a dynamic signal-caller for Georgia.

Committed to Georgia

. OT. Bulldogs . Amarius Mims. 8. player. 814

  • High School: Bleckley County (Cochran, GA)
  • Composite Rankings: No. 8, No. 2 OT

Amarius Mims is a powerful offensive tackle recruit with tremendous size and arm length. At 6-foot-7 and over 300 pounds, Mims is going to step in and be a bookend right away at the college level.

He’s not going to be overpowered by any pass rushers and if he continues to grow, it’s only going to make him all the more imposing in the process. His size doesn’t affect his ability to move either. It’s a scary thought to consider someone as large as Mims being able to move the way that he does, but he’s going to plow over some defenders in the run game.

The consensus right now seems to be that Mims will stay at home and join Georgia. However, he’s going to have the choice of many great programs. If it is the Bulldogs, they’ll have yet another great tackle recruit to mold. Just look to the development of Andrew Thomas, who should be a first-round selection this April.

Prediction: Georgia

Huskies . Emeka Egbuka. 7. player. 818. . WR

  • High School: Steilacoom (Steilacoom, WA)
  • Composite Rankings: No. 7, No. 1 WR

The No. 1 Pro-Style QB Sam Huard is a Washington product that has already committed to the Huskies. Wouldn’t it be something if they could pair Huard with the top receiving recruit, who also happens to be in-state?

Emeka Egbuka is a 6-foot-1 receiver with interest from all over the country. He has tremendous size but also great speed to match. He isn’t just flash either. Egbuka likes to put in the hard work and be physical on the field.

He does just about everything asked from him from being a possession receiver to a great route runner. If the Huskies can add a few five-star recruits, they could very well come away with the top class in college football.

Prediction: Washington

CB. Bulldogs . Tony Grimes. 6. player. 814.

  • High School: Princess Anne (Virginia Beach, VA)
  • Composite Rankings: No. 6, No. 1 CB

The top cornerback up for grabs in the 2021 class is Tony Grimes. Grimes is a 6-foot cornerback with great length and a body to play the position. He’s able to dissect a play before it happens and has a penchant for finding his way to the football.

He’s going to put the onus on himself to match up against the opposition’s top receiver each and every game. Grimes’ tape shows that he loves the competition and comes away with plays when his team needs him.

The experts are divided among their picks but when it comes to elite secondary talent, Georgia’s had a good run recently landing defensive backs. Kirby Smart has churned out some great players around the defensive backfield and Grimes would be well served to find his way to Athens.
