4. Add bookend for OLB Chandler Jones

He had another monster year for the team in the desert. One of the good things that have come from the club in recent years was picking up pass-rusher Chandler Jones from the New England Patriots in a trade. He has come up huge during his four-year stay with the franchise. The relentless defender has played and started in all 64 games for the franchise over that span and totaled double-digit sacks in each of his four campaigns with the club.

Jones comes off a year in which he finished second in the league with 19 quarterback traps and led the NFL with eight forced fumbles. In 64 outings with Big Red, he rolled up an impressive 60 sacks, 17 forced fumbles and 15 passes defensed.

Last offseason, the club signed veteran defender Terrell Suggs to the mix. But he cooled off after a solid start and was released in December. Of course, the 17-year pro wound up being picked up by the Kansas City Chiefs and added a second Super Bowl ring to his personal collection.

So will the Cardinals sign another veteran to pair opposite Jones this offseason? Or will Steve Keim look to the draft to grab some younger talent. Brooks Reed and Cassius Marsh played for the team in 2019 but both player’s contracts are set to expire. And what does the future hold for 2017 first-round pick Haason Reddick, who has been in various roles in three seasons with the club?
