DraftKings NBA picks March 1: Back to the A.D. well

DraftKings took an otherwise solid seven game Sunday and chopped it up into a terrible slate. Seriously, they let the DraftKings NBA Christmas slate go all day? Why chop this up into a showdown, a DraftKings NBA garbage to game early slate, followed by a decent four game main slate.

My main complaint here is that Giannis and Charlotte value are in the showdown only. Simmons, Towns, and Embiid are out on the early and Luka is questionable. That takes all of the Philly and Minnesota value off the slate on a night when we really need it. I seriously debated not even writing this because the truncated four game version just sucks. It will suck even more once we consider the injuries.

Out: Steph Curry (hand), John Wall (Achilles), Fred VanVleet (shoulder), Serge Ibaka (knee), Marvin Bagley (foot), Richaun Holmes (shoulder), Luke Kennard (knee), Bruce Brown (knee), Ky Bowman (ankle), Marc Gasol (hamstring), J.J. Redick (hamstring), Thon Maker (ankle), Danny Green (hip), Klay Thompson (knee), Blake Griffin (knee), Darius Miller (Achilles), Kenrich Williams (back), Bol Bol (foot), Dewan Hernandez (ankle).

Questionable: Draymond Green (knee), Jordan Poole (ankle), Paul Millsap (ankle), Cory Joseph (heel), Noah Vonleh (ankle).

To make a bad slate worse, The Warriors aren’t bringing Curry back today like the plan was earlier in the week. Considering Fox played Friday, I think he’ll be good to go here. The rest of the report is long and arduous. It makes it really tough to carve out a lineup this far in advance.

I hitched my wagon to A.D. who didn’t even break 40, so it broke down before I even got across Nebraska. Even Hassan and C.J. couldn’t save my lines.

koloughlin23 took it down with a strong 371 points. He built with a Boston/Atlanta hybrid stack with Ja Morant and RoCo.

On this small of a slate, I’m not doing any of us any good if I mention six from each position. I’m more selective, but as per usual, just because you don’t see someone here doesn’t mean they’re a bad play. I just prefer others.
