With outfield being the deepest offensive position for fantasy baseball, there are plenty of players to pick from. You just have to draft the right ones.

By default, outfield is the deepest offensive position for fantasy baseball. With 30 teams, there are 90 starting outfielders. Plus, teams either have a viable bench option or platoon someone at a corner outfield spot, you can have a list of 100 outfielders to pick from.

But, there are some outfielders that you aren’t going to even look at. For example, I only have one outfielder from the Giants, Marlins and Orioles and none from Detroit. That decreases the list from 100 to the 70 that I have listed here.

The outfield position has a couple of players that can help you in all five categories. There are some that will help in four of the five, switching out power for speed and vice versa. Then, there are outfielders that will help your team in just one category.

Most fantasy leagues use five starting outfielder spots. Depending on your league, that’s 50 to 60 already off the board. Include another one or two on the bench and we’re up to a maximum of 80. At that point, you’re just looking for someone who could break out and exceed their draft value.

Unlike my rankings in year’s past, this list is going to include players that qualify at outfield, based on ESPN’s fantasy baseball requirements. That means each player has to have played at least 20 games at the position in the prior season. This will be the same for every other position going forward.

Get ready, because with 70 players and just eight tiers, there is going to be a lot of outfielders in some of the lower tiers. Here are my tiered rankings for the top-70 outfielders this fantasy baseball season.
