4. San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers had rumored interest in Beckham a year ago, and perhaps going back well before that too, before the Browns ultimately got him. The need for a top-end wide receiver still ultimately exists in San Francisco, even coming off a Super Bowl appearance.

The 49ers carried a lot of cap space into the last couple offseasons. But right now they have $13.1 million in room for 2020 (via Over The Cap), hampering their ability to do much without some cutting, restructuring or trading players. Sending Marquise Goodwin and his $4.9 million cap number back to Cleveland in a package for Beckham would seem to work, and cutting Goodwin would clear $3.6 million in cap space.

The financial logistics of the move from their end are strained, to say the least, at this point. But 49ers’ general manager John Lynch is not afraid to be aggressive. If there is a reported offer to the Browns for OBJ in the coming weeks, a bet on it coming from San Francisco feels solid.
