2. Houston Texans

Another year for the Texans, and another year where it was DeAndre Hopkins and little else in the passing game.

Hopkins’ 104 receptions, 1,165 yards and seven touchdowns accounted for 29.3 percent, 28.5 percent and 25.9 percent of the team’s production in those respective categories in 2019. Will Fuller came in second on the team in catches (49) and yards (670), but the time to wait for him to become a consistent second fiddle to Hopkins has passed.

Head coach-turned general manager Bill O’Brien has gutted Houston’s upcoming premium draft capital. The Texans have no first-round pick this year and no first or second-round pick in 2021, via the deal with Miami last offseason for left tackle Laremy Tunsil and wide receiver Kenny Stills. They are in line to get compensation picks, but those won’t be helpful to get a deal done for Beckham unless the Browns waver from having to be “blown away.”

Cap space is no issue for the Texans right now, with $61.286 million available (ninth-most in the league, according to Over The Cap). But how does a deal get done without a top pick over the next two years? It likely centers around players. O’Brien could offer Fuller and some Day 2 capital over the next few drafts to start.

It won’t necessarily be easy to get done, but a dream of Deshaun Watson throwing to Hopkins and Beckham should exist in Houston.
