The 4-0 Houston Roughnecks will still be undefeated after beating the 1-3 Seattle Dragons this Saturday afternoon, thanks to the efforts of quarterback P.J. Walker and running back Nick Holley.

The Roughnecks are deservedly the XFL’s best team.  They have the best quarterback and leading candidate for the XFL’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in P.J.Walker, and they lead the league in several offensive categories.

For example, Houston has scored 126 points in four games, which is 36 more than their closest competitor.  Their passing offense is just 13 yards shy of 1,000 yards passing.

Quarterback P.J. Walker is No. 1 in fantasy football scoring with 123.9 points, No. 1 in touchdown passes with 12 and his touchdowns to interceptions ratio is 6-to-1.

Though Cam Phillips was held to one pass reception for 9 yards last weekend by the Dallas Renegades, he still leads all pass catchers with 333 receiving yards, 7 touchdowns and 75.3 fantasy football points.

When the Roughnecks run the ball, Walker hands it to running back James Butler who has 34 carries for 169 yards and a 5-yard per carry average.  Running back NIck Holley  has become a valuable contributor to the Houston offense.

Beginning with this week’s POV articles, each story will include a “Sleeper of the Week”.  For the Seattle-Houston game, Holley certainly qualifies as the “sleeper”.

He was targeted 10 times by Walker against Dallas in week 4 and caught 8 passes for 97 yards and a touchdown.  Expect Houston coach June Jones to target Holley as frequently in week 5 as he did in week 4..

Seattle enters Saturday afternoon’s game with a quarterback controversy.  Head coach Jim Zorn pulled starter Brandon Silvers after a listless performance by the Dragons’ offense in the first half of week 4’s game against St. Louis.

Silvers has been inconsistent.  He looked great against the D.C. Defenders (217 yards passing) and Dallas Renegades (204 yards) and struggled against Tampa Bay (91) and St. Louis (40 yards). His touchdown to interception ratio IS 3-to-2.

B.J. Daniels is the quarterback Zorn calls on when Silvers falters in a game.  Last weekend against the BattleHawks, Daniels completed 5 our of 10 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown.  He also more of a running quarterback than Silvers and ran 7 times for 84 yards, including one run for 35 yards.  Zorn has not announced a starter yet for this Saturday’s game.

Seattle’s offensive star has been running back Kenneth Farrow.  Farrow is a dual-purpose back with 126 yards and 18.6 fantasy football points running the ball and 66 receiving yards and 12.6 fantasy points as a pass catcher.

Here are the DFS recommendations for this game:

  • START Houston quarterback P.J. Walker
  • START Houston wide receiver Cam Phillips
  • SLEEPER is Houston running back Nick Holley
  • SIT Seattle  quarterback(s)
  • EXPECT the Houston Roughnecks to win by 10 with the total points not exceeding 38

The game will be played on:

  • Saturday, March 7, 2:00 p.m. EST at at TDECU Stadium in Houston, TX
  • TV Channel: ABC and Live Stream: Watch ESPN and the ESPN App
