3a. Laviska Shenault, WR, Colorado

Right now, Shenault isn’t making it out of the second round of most mock drafts, but it would not shock me to see him fall to the third round where a team like the Broncos — having three picks in this particular round — would be wise to take a shot on him.

The Broncos have no shortage of needs offensively, and Shenault is a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands. He could be a big slot, win matchups on the outside, and make an impact in the red zone. When healthy, Shenault is an absolute beast with the ball in his hands and a dynamic open-field threat.

Unfortunately, good health has been hard for Shenault to come by. He’s had a variety of operations done over the last three years and those injury concerns could push him down the board significantly.

3b. Bryce Hall, CB, Virginia

It’s hard to believe after what he did in his junior season that Bryce Hall could go in the third round, but in this scenario, he does.

An injury limited him to six games in the 2019 season, but Hall is a pass-breakup machine and is a tremendous tackler, something Vic Fangio says is a non-negotiable for his defense.

3c. John Simpson, OG, Clemson

The Broncos may have to replace two starters on the interior offensive line with Connor McGovern (center) and Ron Leary (both hitting free agency).

The All-American Simpson is a devastating run blocker whose strength and lower body explosiveness make him an intriguing fit for Denver’s new offense under Pat Shurmur at right guard.
