6. Darrynton Evans, RB, Appalachian State

A back with a ton of speed, Darrynton Evans could be the ideal type of rookie to come in and push Royce Freeman and Phillip Lindsay for carries.

Over the last two seasons at Appalachian state, Evans was a dual-threat as a runner and receiver with 31 total touchdowns.

The Broncos could go with a running back long before this. They met with J.K. Dobbins and other top running backs at the Scouting Combine, and they are looking into the top names in this year’s free-agent market.

Still, Evans’ combination of size and speed makes him a fascinating fit at this juncture of the draft.

7. Kevin Dotson, OL, Louisiana-Lafayette

Although he doesn’t get as much fanfare as his teammate on the Lousiana-Lafayette offensive line Robert Hunt, Kevin Dotson is a tremendous value this late in the draft and gives the Broncos even more depth to work with on the line, something they haven’t had.

Dotson is another in a long line of offensive linemen in this year’s draft who will provide value well beyond their pick status.
