DraftKings NBA picks March 6: Porzingis could win this
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings NBA Shooting Guards:
Best Bets:
Brad Beal ($10,400): This is statistically the best matchup in the league for Beal in a game that promises to be high scoring. Beal racked up 53.75 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Hawks. Beal’s low mark in the last eight games is 48.5, and that was in night two of a back to back. Beal is a dangerous fade tonight.
Donovan Mitchell ($7,700): Mitchell put up 50.75 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Boston about ten days ago. Boston was beaten up a little there, but now they are without Brown, which might be worse. Mitchell’s inconsistency drives many away, myself included. He does have nice upside here though.
Honorable Mention:
Marcus Smart ($6,500): Smart should have good run here again with Brown out instead of Kemba. His usage wont be nearly as high as it was ten days ago when Smart put up 43.75 DraftKings points in Salt Lake City. However, he’ll still do enough to make him worth the effort.
Malik Beasley ($5,900): Beastley had a solid 27 DraftKings points against the Magic a little over a week ago. The Magic have seemed even worse against guards since then. Losing Fournier is going to hurt this defense even more. Beastley doesn’t have huge upside so long as Russell is around, but he has proven that he can be plenty good enough as a sidekick.
Seth Curry ($5,700): Curry is hitting just about everything from the floor right now. Don’t be worries about minutes. DFS is likely out after exiting just nine minutes into Wednesday’s game. Curry played 37 minutes in that game. If DFS is out again, ride the hot hand of Curry. There’s plenty to go around in this Dallas offense.
Dark Horses:
Duncan Robinson ($4,700): The one time in the last week that I didn’t play Robinson, he erupted on the Magic. Herro is still out, but that’s the only missing Miami piece. Still, Robinson plays a lot of minutes compared to a lot of the rest of the pieces on this team. He’ll have plenty of chances and should make them against the Pelicans.
Denzel Valentine ($3,900): Valentine will likely start again, but don’t expect a ton of minutes. Coby White will enter early and often and likely wont leave unless he goes cold. Valentine is a fine punt in cash games, but he’s not going to have nearly enough upside to consider for GPP formats.
